A family member sets it up once - handwriting the daily tasks on the card panel in familiar writing, then programming the alert times directly on the device.
From that point, the person with dementia uses it independently. When a task is due, the corresponding button flashes orange and an alert sounds. Press the button when it's done and it turns green.
At the end of the day, both the person and their family can see at a glance which tasks were completed. No app, no WiFi, no remote access needed - and no dementia branding on the device itself, which matters more than you might think.
NOTE: The Day Hub works best in the early to moderate stages of dementia, when the person can still respond to prompts and complete tasks with a degree of independence.
