Beyond Dementia Australia is an Australian-owned online store selling practical products for people living with dementia, their families and carers.

When you’re shopping for someone you love, you’re often trying to solve a specific problem. Perhaps Mum keeps asking what day it is. Dad struggles with the TV remote. Or you’re looking for an easier way to make a phone call, follow a routine or move around the house at night.

We focus on practical products that address everyday situations at home. No single product will suit every person, and we want you to be able to make an informed choice.

Meet Michelle

Michelle Russell brings her aged care experience to the way we select and describe our products. She has more than 15 years’ experience in aged care, including frontline dementia care, and is a qualified aged care trainer and assessor.

Dementia is part of Michelle’s family life, too. Her mother lives with vascular dementia. Her professional experience and personal connection help us focus on products that address practical needs, rather than adding features people may never use.

Michelle holds a Diploma of Dementia Care, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Certificate III in Aged Care. She is currently studying a Master of Dementia.
